In September 2005  one of our elders, Barrie Clingen, went into the Irish Baptist College
to study and train for full time Christian Work.  Now in 2008 Barrie writes:

As I write this I am looking at a photograph, of me reading an article in the
Barrie Clingen         Grace Baptist Magazine, which has on the reverse side an article entitled ‘Why me?’.

About three years ago (Jan 2005) after a period of prompting and leading from God, we took the decision to sell our business, in order for me to go to Bible College.  It was a decision that was not made lightly, and yet we knew that this was what God wanted us to do.  This was with the aim of me going into the pastorate at the end of the three year    period

The three years have gone far too quickly and with May 2008 looming on the  perhaps the question ‘why me?’ occurs time and time again!  I can feel inadequate for the task, fearful of what the future holds and the direction that God will take us as a family; yet I am confident, as I was at the start, that God will give me the gifts and resources we need to fulfil His plans for us.

I thank God that he has helped us so far and pray that he will guide us as a family in the future.

Please  pray for Barrie, his wife Jeanette and their family as they seek God's guidance for the future.
